Disclosure
Last updated: November 1, 2026.
This page explains how The Beauty Sensation earns money and how its content is put together, so you can decide how much weight to give what you read here. The short version is that the site earns commissions from Amazon, it does not test products hands-on, and it carries no ads or sponsored posts.
Our approach to disclosure
We think you should know about the site’s commercial relationships before you act on a recommendation. We aim to describe those relationships in plain language and to place reminders where they are likely to be seen. This page reflects how the site works today, and it is not a claim that the site meets every legal or regulatory requirement in every place. You should read this page with our Terms and Privacy Policy.
Affiliate relationships
We may earn a commission when you buy through our links, but this comes at no extra cost to you. The Amazon Services LLC Associates Program is the site’s only affiliate program. The site has no affiliate arrangements with any other retailer, brand or network. Amazon links appear in product roundups and reviews. If you follow one of those links and make a qualifying purchase, the site may earn a commission. Amazon decides what counts as a qualifying purchase and sets the commission, and we do not control either one. The price you pay does not change because you used our link. You never have to use our links, and you are welcome to buy from any store you like. Because Amazon is the only program, our affiliate links lead only to Amazon. That does not mean Amazon is the cheapest or best place to buy any product, so it is worth comparing other retailers, including drugstores and brand websites.
Amazon Associates Program
The Beauty Sensation is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Where you will see disclosures
Each article shows an affiliate disclosure below its featured image. Every page’s footer carries the Amazon Associates Program statement. These placements are meant to let you see the relationship before you reach or follow a link in an article. This page gives the fuller explanation behind those shorter notices.
Advertising
The site does not run display advertising. There are no banner ads, ad networks or ad placements on the site. The Privacy Policy explains what this means for tracking. If that ever changes, we will update this page and the Privacy Policy.
Sponsorships and paid placements
The site has no sponsored posts or paid placements. No brand, seller or agency currently pays to appear in an article, roundup or review. Product suggestions are welcome from any reader, but a suggestion does not guarantee coverage. If the site ever publishes sponsored content, we will label it clearly as sponsored and update this page.
Compensation, free products and material relationships
The Amazon commissions described above are the site’s only source of affiliate income. The site does not earn from sponsored posts, paid placements or display advertising. The site’s roundups and reviews are research summaries, so a recommendation here should not be read as coming from someone who received or used a product. If a brand or seller ever gave the site money, free products or another material benefit connected with coverage, we would need to tell you about it, and we would update this page and label the affected content.
Editorial independence and conflicts of interest
Ratings reflect our own editorial evaluation. No brand or seller pays for a rating or a place in a roundup. Even so, affiliate commissions are a real financial interest. The site can earn money when a reader buys through an Amazon link, and it earns nothing from products a reader buys elsewhere. That is a conflict of interest, and you should keep it in mind when you read our recommendations. We want you to be able to check the reasoning for yourself, by reading the current label, ingredient list, directions and retailer listing. A rating is an editorial opinion based on research, and it is not a measured test score, a safety finding or a guarantee. Product mentions do not mean that a brand or Amazon has reviewed, approved or endorsed the site’s content.
No guaranteed results, savings or earnings
We do not guarantee that a product, routine or technique will work for you. Results vary with skin, hair, nails, application, climate and many other factors. Budget comparisons are general guidance, and we do not guarantee that a cheaper product will match a more expensive one, or that you will save money. Comments about value are opinions based on information available at the time of writing, and they may no longer be accurate when you read them. Nothing on the site promises any income or financial result.
How we research products
Products on this site are not tested hands-on or in a lab. Roundups, reviews and guides are research summaries of product listings, ingredient lists, brand instructions, public safety guidance and buyer reviews. This has real limits. We cannot confirm how a product feels, wears, smells, performs or lasts, or whether it matches what a listing or a brand says. Listings and brand materials are written by the people selling the product. Buyer reviews are the opinions of others, they may be unrepresentative, and we cannot verify all of them. When we summarize buyer reviews, the summary is not a statement of our own experience with the product. A summary may also miss recent changes in a formula or an issue that only some buyers experienced.
Articles are bylined Stephanie Walsh, who is the site’s editorial persona, and her portrait is a generated image. First-person language in a biography or article is an editorial voice, and it is not a testimonial or a report that a real person tried a product. The persona’s background is not a credential and is not evidence for a recommendation. The Terms explain this further. Wherever anything on the site could be read as suggesting hands-on use, this section is the accurate description of how products are assessed.
Product details, prices, availability and sellers
Prices, formulas, ingredients, shades, sizes and availability change, sometimes without notice. The retailer’s listing and the product’s own label at the time of purchase are the ones that apply. Please check them before you buy, especially if you have an allergy or sensitivity. The site does not sell anything, take payments, ship products or handle returns. Any purchase is between you and the seller. The seller or manufacturer is responsible for the product, its labeling, its warranty and any refund or recall. Products on large marketplaces can be offered by different sellers, so check who is selling an item and whether it is genuine, sealed and within date. We do not guarantee any seller’s conduct, or any warranty that a seller or manufacturer offers.
General information, not professional advice
The content on this site is general beauty information for informational purposes, and it is not medical, dermatological or other professional advice. The bylined persona is not a doctor, dermatologist, pharmacist, cosmetologist or makeup artist. Any cosmetic, skincare, hair or nail product can cause irritation or an allergic reaction, so patch test where appropriate and stop using a product that irritates. Skin-whitening and lightening products, especially imported ones, can contain ingredients such as mercury or hydroquinone, so please check labels and FDA warnings. Costume makeup, chemical hair treatments, eye products, nail products and curing lamps, and homemade DIY mixtures carry their own risks. The Terms describe those risks in more detail. Please take pregnancy-safety questions to your doctor or pharmacist, and take skin, scalp and nail conditions to a dermatologist or doctor. Always follow the product’s label and directions, which take priority over anything on this site.
Accuracy, updates and corrections
We try to keep information accurate, but we cannot promise that every article is complete, current or free of errors. The site published its earlier articles on WordPress from 2020 to 2021. Those articles keep their original text and publication dates, and they now carry the current writer’s byline. Please treat the date on an article as a prompt to check whether its product details are still current. Older articles may mention products, prices, formulas or guidance that have since changed. If you spot something wrong or out of date, please report it through the site’s Contact page or by email. Please share the page address and the detail that looks wrong, and a link to the brand’s current label or product page helps us check it quickly. We review corrections as we can, but we do not promise a specific response time or that every suggested change will be made.
Questions and updates to this page
If you have a question about this page, please email hello@thebeautysensation.com, or use the form on the site’s Contact page. Both routes reach the site owner’s private inbox, and we do not promise a particular response time. We may update this page when the site’s commercial relationships or methods change, and the date at the top shows the latest version.
